Dear Mrs.Hamilton,
I have just started a book called "How The Raven Freed The Moon." When I read the first 3 pages it made me want to read more , which is what the author wanted to do. Also, the first three pages were pretty strong I wanted to read the rest, it made me want to cling on to the book, and not let go!
On page 17, I thought it was pretty weird of the fisherwoman to say to the daughter "Is it your baby?" because if the daughter had a baby I'm sure that the daughter would tell the fisherwoman.
When I had first read this fable I thought it was really rude to prank the daughter and fisherwoman like that. But it did make the story much more interesting.
I didn't actually understand at the end, who was the bad guy?The daughter and fisherwoman "stole" the moon (somehow) from the sky. But the raven tried to steal the moon like the mother and daughter did.
I loved this fable more then any other I have ever read! I would tell you the ending but I wouldn't want to spoil the rest of the story for you!
Your student,
Rollin
